Yes, I've been enjoying the Clone Wars series too... but I am a died-in-the-wool Star Wars nerd!

I think the "pilot" I have is just the first three episodes, stitched together, James. Having not seen this series on Cartoon Network when it aired, I didn't realize it wasn't launched with a sort of movie extravaganza.

Now I have to track down "Birth of Evil"!

Pilot? Is this different from the first 3 episodes of the series where we basically get Jack's backstory? If so, I gotta find that!

The 2-part "Birth of Evil" from season 3 is one that just blew me away. And the episode composed of 3 little vignettes (robot cannibals, two-headed serpent, and gargoyle with a fairy) is a favorite.

I haven't seen that. I have been watching CW with my kid and I think it's pretty good. But from what I've read on the interwebs it was not well received.

Samurai Jack was a gorgeous show. A few years ago, after missing the boat for most of the show's run, I came across the pilot movie on DVD in a Toys 'R Us "bargain bin" for $7. Best $7 I've spent on a DVD :)

It's too bad his animated Star Wars series was horrible. You'd think it would have been just the opposite. The 3d-animated Clone Wars series was much better.
